Mollie Ruskin is an independent designer and technologist with roots in civic tech, activism & social justice movements. Her design work ranges from UX, product & service design to deep qualitative user research & creative direction.
A founding member of the US Digital Service and an Obama White House Presidential Innovation Fellow, Mollie has a rich background in civic tech & design. She led a myriad human-centered design endeavors, including a study of Veterans’ experiences with the VA, an effort to redesign how low-income Americans enroll in public assistance, and the release of a first-ever US Web Design System.
In 2017, Mollie lead a project to map the human & technological systems behind Congressional constituent correspondence for the OpenGov Foundation. She works with groups such as Color of Change, Democracy Works & The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights.
Mollie co-founded Design Gigs for Good, a job board for designers at the intersection of design & social impact
