Ursula Rojas Weiser was born and raised in Mexico City. She is a member of the Mexican Foreign Service since 2006 and currently holds the rank of
1st Secretary. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and a Masters of Arts from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in Boston, MA.

She has been posted to the Consulates of Mexico in Portland, Oregon and Dallas, Texas. where she developed financial literacy and entrepreneurship initiatives targeted mostly to empower Mexican immigrants. In Dallas she worked on the creation of the Dallas chapter of the Red Global MX which is Mexico’s network of highly qualified professionals living overseas. She also developed a special partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas that produced several projects including the policy forum “Financial Education and Economic Inclusion: The immigrant Experience”, highlighting the economic contributions of Mexican immigrants in the U.S.

Most recently, she worked as Director for U.S. Political Affairs at the Direction General for North America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico.

She is currently Consul for Economic Affairs at the Consulate General of Mexico where she manages the relations with tech companies and innovation projects for the Consulate.
