Kathryn Peters is a co-founder of Democracy Works, where she designs and builds software and datasets to improve the voting experience for voters and election officials alike. To date, Democracy Works has served nearly 2 million voters through TurboVote, a tool to help voters register, stay registered, and cast a ballot in elections from municipal to federal. They've also helped hundreds of millions of voters find where to vote and what's on their ballots through the Voting Information Project, and tracked absentee ballots through the mail for voters in Virginia and Oregon through Ballot Scout. Kathryn is well-versed in elections, building civic technology, collaborating with government, and developing shared data standards.
