Sasha joined RSI in Aug. 2016 from the Office of U.S. Rep. Blake Farenthold, where she was counsel specializing in Judiciary Committee issues. She previously served as legal aid at Caterpillar Inc., assisting the company’s government affairs team’s work on the Coalition for 21st Century Patent Reform.

Earlier in her career, Sasha was a research assistant to Dr. Robert Brauneis of GW Law School. In that role, she assisted with development and construction of the online version of the casebook "Copyright," co-authored by Brauneis and Roger E. Schechter.

She was awarded the Luther Rice Undergraduate Research Fellowship in 2008, the Kilgore College Presidential Scholarship in 2009 and was a Google Policy Fellow in 2015. She is a member of the Federalist Society, The Copyright Society of the USA, and Internet Law and Policy Foundry. She is a founding member of the Congressional Tech Staff Association and severed as an adviser to the Creative Commons 2018 Summit Committee.
