Melissa Medina spearheads congressional strategy and operations for the Congressional App Challenge, a nationwide bipartisan initiative that engages U.S. elected officials in technology and inspires U.S. students to learn Computer Science. In 2015, she was part of a two-person team that launched the Congressional App Challenge, a project of the Internet Education Foundation. She is also the co-founder of appmy, LLC, an organization that builds digital platforms to make elected officials' office operations more efficient; for example, tourtrackr.com which makes it easy for offices to schedule and process DC tours. Previously, Medina worked on Capitol Hill for nearly five years serving in the office of Rep. Ed Royce (CA) and the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
