Katie McInnis is a policy counsel in Consumer Reports’ Washington, DC office. Her work focuses on technology and the consumer’s right to privacy, security, control, and transparency. Before joining CR in 2016, Katie served as a Privacy & Technology Fellow at the Center for Democracy & Technology and the Enforcement Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission. She attended Bard College where studied History and Sociology and earned her law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Journal of Law & Modern Critical Race Perspectives.
