They are currently a Full Stack Software Engineer at Polco, a civic engagement platform for local government and advocacy groups. Continuing 10 years of STEM outreach, teaching and inclusion advocacy, they are currently a co-organizer of Madison Women in Tech, a web development mentor for YWeb Bootcamp and a Doyenne member (marginalized entrepreneurs). Cakelin is a 2018 New Leader’s Council Fellow, a national training program for diverse progressive leaders. They are a passionate disability advocate.
