Dr Laura James is Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory, catalysing multidisciplinary research and activities around trust and technology, and also Technology Principal at Doteveryone. She has worked extensively in technology and leadership roles in many contexts, combining getting things done hands-on, and building experience in the different ways people, teams and organisations use emerging internet technologies. Laura holds Masters and PhD degrees in Engineering from the University of Cambridge. She has been the first employee at a connected home startup, on the management team of an AI startup, scaled a rapidly growing civic tech nonprofit, and cofounded a community workshop, a startup humanitarian NGO, and most recently a member owned co-operative.
