During successful career as a software developer and database analyst, Emma found Open Source, and was inspired by the potential of developing software, and participating in communities connected by common purpose and mission. Her experience as a contributor to many projects including Drupal, Wordpress and Firefox inspired her to help others get involved - and thus reshaped career focus to doing just that at Mozilla with a focus on diversity & inclusion.
Emma leads D&I strategy development for Mozilla’s communities, this includes data, metrics, ethics, culture, values, accessibility design in projects and project workflows, inclusive leadership models, identity group design and more…
She lives in Sooke, BC with her three daughters.
