Tianca Crocker is an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her research focuses on technology-centered strategies to promote economic opportunity and social service modernization. She also explores critical data privacy for marginalized communities. Crocker is currently a Fellow with the National Digital Inclusion Alliance and has previously served in roles as a NTEN
Google Fiber Digital Inclusion Fellow and as a Mozilla Open Leader. She holds degrees in African American Studies and Social Work. She earned a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin with a Graduate Portfolio distinction in Communication, Information and Cultural Policy.
