Phaedra Chrousos is the Chief Innovation Officer of Libra Group. Headquartered in New York and London, Libra Group is an international business group that owns and operates 31 companies in six sectors: aviation, energy, finance, hospitality, real estate, and shipping. Libra Group is also the founding sponsor of several nonprofits. As Libra Group’s Chief Innovation Officer, Phaedra’s role is to identify, pilot and help Libra Group companies adopt disruptive technology solutions.
Prior to joining Libra Group, Phaedra served as an appointee for President Obama. In this capacity, she created and was the inaugural Commissioner of the Technology Transformation Service, an organization whose mission is to improve the public's experience with the government online. In this role, Phaedra was responsible for a 280 person digital services team (18F), a $60M portfolio of technology products (including data.gov, cloud.gov and login.gov), and the Presidential Innovation Fellowship program.
