Kate Chapman works at the intersection of technology and nonprofits. Kate co-founded the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team and served as the organization’s first Executive Director. She specializes in formalizing communities into organizational structures, product management, technical strategy and building open communities. Her mantra is “people before data”.
Currently, Kate is a Managing Principal at Cascadia Technical Mentorship, Chairperson of the OpenStreetMap Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors at Software Freedom Conservancy.
