Ashley Friedman

As Senior Director of Global Policy at ITI, Ashley leads ITI’s engagement in Latin America and works on a wide range of trade and innovation issues, including those related to online platforms and internet-based “over-the-top / OTT” services. She also plays an integral role in ITI’s Europe work, including on issues related to the Digital Single Market and platforms regulations, as well as working closely with individual member states. Ashley also coordinates ITI Decodes, ITI’s collaborative initiative to make complex tech policy concepts more accessible. Ashley has led ITI’s efforts to provide practical, actionable guidance to governments around the world on advancing digital trade issues in trade agreements and through multilateral organizations, and she has deepened relationships between policymakers and tech leaders in order to advance globally interoperable, meaningful solutions to policy challenges.
